Does Synergy provide speaker honorariums?
Synergy is unable to provide speaker honorariums.
How do speakers arrange for travel and hotel accommodations?
Each speaker is responsible for their own hotel and travel arrangements. Synergy is unable to provide hotel and travel reimbursements.
Are there any special hotel rates for speakers and attendees?
Yes, our selected travel agent, A-Travel has negotiated preferential rates with various hotels near
Centre de Congres, Lyon. You can find details of how to book by clicking on the Travel and Stay page.
As a speaker, do I get free access to the conference?
Speakers are entitled to attend the conference free of charge. Registration includes admission to the conference and exhibition, lunch, coffee/tea and refreshments during the two days.
As a speaker, do I need to register myself for the conference?
Yes, you should register by going to the speaker registration tab in the speaker corner (www.emart-energy.com). Your badge will then be ready upon your arrival at the conference venue.
What audiovisual equipment will be available in the conference rooms?
In the conference rooms a laptop, LCD projector and microphone will be available. If you have any special requests for additional audiovisual equipment please contact the conference management.
Can I use my own laptop for my presentation?
Yes, if desired, you can use your own laptop during your presentation. However, in order to stay on schedule and move efficiently from presenter to presenter, it would be better to load your presentation onto the conference laptop.
When will I be able to check my presentation?
Each speaker is urged to come to the conference room at least 30 minutes before the start of the session. This allows you to meet the chairman and other speakers, discuss last minute details and establish whether there is any overlap in the presentations. This will also be the last moment to load your presentation onto the laptop. You may either bring your presentation on a USB Memory Stick or a CD Rom.
How will the conference papers be made available to conference delegates?
All presentations will be published on a specially created web page during a limited period of time. Conference delegates receive a web link and password to access the papers after the conference. Papers will be made available approximately one week after the end of the conference.
When will I need to submit the final Power Point presentation?
Your PPT presentation is due on 16 November 2011. Last minute changes to the PPT presentation can still be made, however please make sure that you bring your updated presentation with you to the conference (either on CD Rom or USB Memory Stick).
